THE VALDERA<\/h3>

In the 15th century, when the Vicariate of Lari was constituted, it was named ``Delle Colline e Valdera`` (Of the Hills and Valdera), to indicate the area from Val di Cascina, Val di Tora and Zannone. Peccioli, central location for many municipalities of Valdera, has become the main center of the above area.<\/p>

<\/div>

Peccioli dominates from the top of its hill the Era Valley, and is a place with a strong agricultural and tourist vocation.<\/p> [\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″]

Peccioli, in addition to the charm of the village with its alleys, offers four major museums (archaeological, sacred art, Orthodox icons, engravings and contemporary lithographs), dozens of installations of contemporary artists, churches, seven fractions each with its own peculiarities.
