The Podere Borgaruccio Relais extends over an area of about 10 hectares characterized by a splendid environmental biodiversity that includes steep tuff cliffs, coppice woods, wetlands and dry areas.

The Relais is located a few hundred meters from the ancient Tuscan village of Peccioli which dominates the Era valley, along the route that leads from Volterra to Pisa, where magnificent examples of medieval architecture are revived.

Secular olive trees and rows of vines alternate in the fields kept in continuity with the most ancient agricultural wisdom. Further on, the woods and paths extend as far as the river at the bottom of the valley.

The environment is ideal for walking or mountain biking on the beautiful bike path of the country, and naturally invites trips and excursions starting directly from the house of the farm down into the woods bordering the farm that leads to the bank of the river Era.

THE VALDERA

In the 15th century, when the Vicariate of Lari was constituted, it was named ``Delle Colline e Valdera`` (Of the Hills and Valdera), to indicate the area from Val di Cascina, Val di Tora and Zannone. Peccioli, central location for many municipalities of Valdera, has become the main center of the above area.

Peccioli dominates from the top of its hill the Era Valley, and is a place with a strong agricultural and tourist vocation.

Peccioli, in addition to the charm of the village with its alleys, offers four major museums (archaeological, sacred art, Orthodox icons, engravings and contemporary lithographs), dozens of installations of contemporary artists, churches, seven fractions each with its own peculiarities. In one of these, Legoli, there is also the Tabernacle frescoed in 1479 by Benozzo Gozzoli.

Swimming Pool

The farm has a swimming pool for its guests, located a few meters from the rooms, where you can enjoy the view of our olive trees and relax with the waiter service. The pool is equipped with sun beds, umbrellas and tables.

Excursions to the vineyard

With our wine experts will be possible to enjoy a walk among our vines and understand all the peculiarities, history, processing and care we reserve for the single bunch.

Bike rent

You can rent a bicycle to enjoy a tour both inside our farm up to the ``belvedere`` from where you can admire the landscape of the Valdera, and to reach the many nearby villages and cycle between churches, ancient farmhouses and hills rich in crops.
